iPhone Prices Dropped Fast After iPhone 16 Release, Most Apple Users Complain

Let me start with a question…

Do you really need the latest and greatest phone, or are you being sucked into the hype?

As someone who’s been an iPhone fan for years, I’ve always looked forward to the next release, but something about the iPhone 16 just feels…

off

I’ve never held it, but from everything I’ve read and seen, I’m not impressed. In fact, I’m here to tell you why the iPhone 16 is not worth your money and why you should grab an iPhone 12 or iPhone 13 instead.

Trust me, there’s a lot more value in these older models, especially now that prices are dropping fast.

Why the iPhone 16 Falls Flat?

Let me be honest—I haven’t touched an iPhone 16, but based on reviews and insights, I feel like I’m not missing much. People keep raving about the new features, but when you dig deeper, you start to realize it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. The iPhone 16 shares a lot of the same specs as its predecessors, but it comes with an inflated price tag and not much else. Sure, there are minor improvements like a new camera array and faster processing speeds, but let’s face it: these aren’t features most of us will ever fully utilize.

Think about it: unless you’re a professional photographer or videographer, do you really need 4K Dolby Vision or a 48MP ultra-wide camera? I certainly don’t. For everyday users, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 are more than capable of handling the essentials—social media, email, photos, and video—without the bloated price tag of the iPhone 16.

iPhone 12 & iPhone 13: Tried and True

When the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 came out, they revolutionized the way we used our phones. The sleek design, solid camera, and exceptional battery life made them must-haves. Now, with the release of newer models, these phones are available at much lower prices. This is your chance to grab a premium smartphone without breaking the bank.

The iPhone 12, for instance, still rocks a fantastic dual-camera system that’s more than enough for capturing those Insta-worthy moments.

And the iPhone 13? Well, it brought the A15 Bionic chip, making it a powerhouse for performance and efficiency. Both models are incredibly reliable and, let’s be real, who wouldn’t love to save a few hundred dollars?

Here’s the kicker: You can get either of these models for significantly less now. The price drops are rapid, and they offer better value than shelling out top dollar for the overhyped iPhone 16. You’re essentially paying more for bells and whistles you probably won’t use.

Don’t Waste Money on the iPhone 14, 15, or 16

Let’s talk about the iPhone 14 and 15 for a moment. You might think, “Well, if the iPhone 16 isn’t worth it, maybe I should go for the 14 or 15.” But let me stop you right there. These models are also part of what I call the “overkill generation” of iPhones—phones that keep adding features without addressing what everyday users actually need.

The iPhone 14 and 15 brought little to the table beyond incremental upgrades. And now with the iPhone 16, Apple continues this trend of pushing hardware improvements that are unnecessary for the majority of us. It’s just a cycle of diminishing returns.

If you already have an iPhone 12 or iPhone 13, you’re good to go. There’s no need to upgrade unless you’re a tech enthusiast who absolutely must have the latest gadget. Even then, you might be disappointed by how little the newer models offer compared to the money you’ll spend.

The Rapid Price Drops: A Golden Opportunity

If there’s one thing we can count on in the tech world, it’s that prices on last year’s models will drop fast when a new phone is released. That’s exactly what’s happening with the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 right now. Apple may not heavily advertise this, but if you take a quick look online or visit your local retailer, you’ll notice massive discounts.

Why pay $1,000 or more for the iPhone 16 when you can get an iPhone 13—still one of the best phones on the market—for a fraction of that? The performance is practically the same for day-to-day use, and you won’t be burdened with unnecessary features that inflate the cost.

As a practical consumer, I highly recommend you take advantage of this golden opportunity. Grab an iPhone 12 or iPhone 13 while the prices are low. Your wallet will thank you, and you won’t feel like you’re missing out on anything that matters.

Stick with What Works

The iPhone 16 may be the new kid on the block, but it’s far from being a must-have. I’ve learned over the years that Apple’s “new and improved” isn’t always necessary, especially when last-generation models like the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 offer everything you need. With their solid performance, excellent cameras, and affordable prices, these phones are the smart choice for anyone looking to upgrade without falling into the hype trap.

So here’s my advice:

Skip the iPhone 16. Grab an iPhone 12 or iPhone 13 instead. Not only will you save money, but you’ll also have a phone that’s reliable and fully capable of handling your everyday needs.
