The Most Honest Reviews For The White Lotus Season 3… Somehow, I Need To Be A Monk!

Warning: This article contains strong language, brutal honesty, and unfiltered opinions. If you can’t handle it… I’ll give you a hug.

Now go cry at a temple or keep reading. Your choice.

If you’ve been living under a rock or just too busy doomscrolling on TikTok, The White Lotus is HBO’s luxury-meets-death dramedy about rich people losing their shit on vacation. Each season, different location.

S1: Hawaii — rich people complain while locals try not to punch them in the face.

S2: Italy — sex, pasta, daddy issues, and hotel drama with Roman vibes.

S3: Thailand — yeah, my home country. Spirituality, Buddhism, culture clashes, and beneath all that? Straight-up identity crises and the dark shit no one wants to talk about.

What went down in Season 3 (aka the Thai spiritual rollercoaster from hell)

Okay, — a bunch of people from all walks of life, flying into Thailand expecting a peaceful AF retreat and ending up spiritually gutted. This season got layers, like mango sticky rice with too much damn symbolism.

Let’s break it down.

The Girls Squad™

These three “besties” who low-key hate and love each other? ICONIC. They’re messy, toxic, insecure, and real af. One moment they’re meditating, the next they’re talking shit behind each other’s backs. You know what? That’s humanity. People gossip. Don’t act holy — you’ve done it too. If you say you haven’t, you’re lying. Period.

The Ratliff Family

Rich but broke. And not just financially, but emotionally too. The dad’s pretending everything’s fine, the mom’s emotionally checked out, the kids are just vibing through trauma. Their future? Honestly? Screwed. But they know it. And that’s kinda brave. Not pretty, but real.

Belinda’s Back

Yep, remember Belinda? The spa manager from Hawaii that Tanya ghosted? Sis came back like a BOSS. And guess what? She took Greg’s $5 million hush money after he straight-up orchestrated Tanya’s death. People mad about it.

Me? Bitch, take that money. I’d take it too. Don’t sit there and lie saying “I have morals.” Shut up. Morals don’t pay rent. If someone handed you $5 million, you’d grab that shit so fast your ancestors would feel it.

Mook and Gaitok

This couple’s storyline low-key gave me a headache. Mook deserves better, period. Gaitok is sweet but boring as fuck. He’s like plain rice without salt. She’s fire, she’s chaos, she’s Thailand, and he’s just… there. Thanks for nothing, king.

Rick & Chelsea

Yoooo. These two? Man. The way their arc ended, floating above it all, leaving the world behind? It hit. Like, you ever feel so done with everything you just wanna disappear into the ether? That was them. Death looked… kinda peaceful. Wild thought, huh?

That Fucking Ending

I didn’t think it would wreck me like that. I was fully in. Every damn character touched me — not in a cheesy, “aww” way — but in that fuck, I get it kinda way. They all made questionable decisions, but honestly? Who wouldn’t? When shit hits the fan, survival mode kicks in. Ain’t about being good or bad. It’s about being human. And The White Lotus gets that.

This Shit Ain’t for Everyone

If you just want to turn your brain off and laugh? Go binge Emily in Paris or whatever.

But if you like shows that peel your brain open, throw your values in a blender, and make you question life while staring at a Buddhist temple? This is for you.

It’s slow. It’s symbolic. It’s awkward. But it’s fuckin’ worth it.
