Who's Watching Us? A Casual Peek at Our Top YouTube Viewers Worldwide

How cool is it to see where all our views are coming from? Ever since we started our independent film journey back in 2012, and especially after YouTube began tracking our channel stats in 2014, we’ve noticed some pretty amazing trends in who watches our films and series.

Thailand has been our top supporter from the start, always coming in strong. But guess what? Saudi Arabia has been right up there too, which is pretty surprising considering their strict rules on media. It just goes to show how universal stories can cross borders and cultures.

Do you remember 2016? That year was a game changer for us with the release of Present Perfect. That’s when we really started to see a spike from viewers in India and Indonesia. Then, in 2018, Turkey took a brief lead, which was a huge surprise.

Moving forward to late 2020, India took over the top spot for a bit. By late 2021, Indonesia was leading the pack. The whole of 2023? Dominated by viewers from India, with the USA consistently hanging out in the top five. It’s interesting to see some shifts, though, like the Philippines dropping out of the top five after being strong contenders for so long, while Japan and Brazil have kept their steady presence in the top ten.

Here’s the kicker: we’ve hit over 80 million views! That’s all thanks to you guys, our awesome viewers, who have stuck with us, no major sponsors or backers, just pure community support.
