On Present Still Perfect Distribution Rights

🗓️ Last Updated: June 26, 2025

📌 Summary

As the creator, director, and legal copyright owner of Present Still Perfect (2020), I, Aam Anusorn, would like to clarify the truth about the film’s distribution rights and address misleading claims by GagaOOLala (Portico Media Co., Ltd.).

⚖️ Copyright Ownership

On January 23, 2020, I officially registered the full copyright of Present Still Perfect under my name, certified by the Thai Department of Intellectual Property.

🚫 Distribution Contract Breach by GagaOOLala

Current Status

This registration confirms my legal ownership of all components of the film—story, screenplay, and media.

In 2019, Commetive Production Co., Ltd. signed a limited agreement with Portico Media. According to Clause 9, cinematic (theatrical) and home video rights were not granted to them.

Yet in 2022, GagaOOLala violated the contract by:

• Selling Present Still Perfect to Japanese distributors for theatrical release and DVD production without permission.

• Listing themselves as worldwide distributors even after we terminated their license.

As of July 24, 2022, GagaOOLala has no rights to distribute, promote, or profit from Present Still Perfect in any format or region. Any such claim is false and unauthorized.

Official Distribution Channels

If you want to support the creators, please use only the official platforms listed on MY WATCH PAGE. Any unauthorized distribution undermines independent creators and disrespects our hard work.

💬 From the Director

“It’s painful to see your work used without permission—especially by a platform that claims to support queer creators. I’m not writing this out of anger, but out of duty to tell the truth, protect my rights, and prevent further exploitation.”

Thank you for supporting true independent filmmaking.
