The Story Behind 🎵 “Ja Rak Koi Rak Her (Just Love Me)” (feat. Michael Kiettisak) by Aam Anusorn

Ja Rak Koi Rak Her” (written in Thai as จะรักก็รักเหอะ) means “If you’re gonna love, then just love” — or more casually, “Just love me already.” It’s a bold, direct expression of feelings, and that’s exactly the spirit I wanted this song to carry.

I wrote this song while working on my series Call It What You Want. At the time, I thought I needed a professional music composer. I kept thinking I should hide behind someone more “qualified.” But honestly? I had no money. Still, this melody kept playing in my head, and the phrase “Ja Rak Koi Rak Her” just wouldn’t go away.

Hiring a composer felt so expensive—and kind of pointless. I thought, Why not try it myself? So I spent two full days watching YouTube tutorials on how to make music with GarageBand. I didn’t know how to read notes or write a melody. I just followed my instincts. I kept humming ideas and placing sounds where I felt they should go.

And that’s how my first song was born.

Now, I’m not exactly a good singer. My voice isn’t made for the mic, so I reached out to Michael Kiettisak and asked him if he’d sing it. He said yes right away—and I was honestly so touched. His voice gave the song the heart it needed.

The message behind the song?

If you love someone, tell them. Don’t wait. Don’t overthink.

I’ve never understood why people hold back from calling each other boyfriend or girlfriend—especially when they’ve already crossed other emotional or physical lines. Why wait? Why play games? Just say it. Just love.

The music video was made during the height of COVID-19, when we couldn’t go out or shoot normally. So I filmed everything using my iPhone 12 Pro Max—which actually did a pretty amazing job.

And since Daniel (not Michael!) was in Taiwan, we couldn’t film together. So I asked him to film clips of himself doing small daily activities—walking, relaxing, living life—and send them to me. I then cut them together with my own clips to create a story about two people in different places, missing each other deeply.

It was shot with no budget, just creativity—and a lot of heart.

This is the first song I ever wrote, the first music video I directed, and my very first entry into the music world.

You can listen to “Ja Rak Koi Rak Her (Just Love Me)” on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, and all major platforms.

Support independent artists.

We don’t have big labels or huge budgets.

But we have big dreams. And people like you make them possible.

If you’re thinking about creating music, don’t wait.

Just start.

It’s not that hard.

Trust me.

Personal Message from Aam

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from making this song, it’s that you don’t need permission to create. You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to start.

So if there’s something you’ve been wanting to do—but you’ve been holding yourself back because you think you’re not “good enough” or “qualified”… I’m here to tell you: You are.

Art is not about right or wrong.
It’s about feeling, honesty, and expression.
So just do it.

Make your song.
Write your story.
Shoot your film.
No one else can do it the way you can.

I’m rooting for you.
